At the crack of dawn on Concours Saturday, the Inn is literally ‘humming’ with the sound of thousands of cars and spectators as they gather to enjoy a morning with Cars and Coffee! Cars of all makes and models, and nearly every decade, makes for one of the most spectacular summer events in Michigan! Enthusiasts of all ages come together to share their love of the automobile!

With special guests: M1 Concourse, Car and Driver and Bigby Coffee.

Concours d'Elegance of America

The Concours d’Lemons Michigan will take place on July 28, 2018 at the Inn at St. John’s, on a corner of the golf course.  All of regular Concours d’Lemons hi-jinx will ensue, capricious judging, bribery, awful trophies and even worse cars. If you take yourself or your car very seriously, this isnt the show for you. Hagerty Insurance has has stepped in to add a shred of legitimacy to this farce so be sure to thank them for the laughs. The best part is that the show is free for participants and spectators, so you’ll get exactly what you pay for.

Join Hagerty on July 28th for a panel discussion about The One That Got Away – tales of cars sold and sorely missed. Hagerty’s own Brad Philips will lead an engaging discussion highlighting these stories from a line-up of experts, including Wayne Carini, Jeff Lane and Dave Kinney, with special guest Brian Rabold, Hagerty’s Vice President of Valuation Services.

A special driver forum will be held featuring Redman, Haywood and Elford, all of whom drove for both the Werks teams and privateers in period. Between them, they scored major victories for the marque at Daytona, Sebring and Le Mans and contributed to multiple world championships. All have fabulous stories to share and are gifted storytellers. They will be on hand for the entire three-day event. Author and former Autoweek editor George Levy will moderate Saturday’s gathering.

This event is host to over 200 old and new friends of the Concours, and supporters of Project Beautiful. Held in the ‘French Quarter’ inspired Atrium at the Inn, guests enjoy a gourmet lunch and fashion show by dolce MODA, of Birmingham. Proceeds from the lunch go to benefit Project Beautiful Inside and Out.

Since the inception in 2016 this event raised funds in excess of $17K to support Project Beautiful Inside and Out. Project Beautiful strives to build confidence and inspire hope as individuals and families – especially women in shelter and similar situations, in our community and beyond – rebuild their lives.
